Volunteer
Opportunities
Most of our workforce is comprised of volunteers. If you have a few free hours that you can dedicate, or a skill that can be shared, we could use you for the following opportunities
High School Football Games – various dates – wear Vote Yes! t-shirt (provided), greet at gate & hold banner during announcement
CHS Homecoming Parade – 10/6 – wear Vote Yes! t-shirt (provided), walk the parade with group with banner and hand out goodies
Sign Waving (with school staff)
10/26 & 27, 11/1 & 2& 3 & 7, from 4:30-5:45pm
Locations: PG - Base of southbound PG Bridge, PC - Murdock Circle @ 41, Englewood - 776 and Placida
Wear Vote Yes! t-shirt (provided), wave signs (provided)
Greet voters at polling locations on ELECTION DAY Nov 8 – various times & locations. Wear Vote Yes! t-shirt (provided), sit or stand with sign at entrance to parking lot (election rules apply), smile and wave.
Write Letters to the Editor – Now through Nov 8
The Suns’ rules for Letters to the Editor:
- Must be less than 250 words.
- Letters will be edited to length, grammar and spelling.
- All letters must be signed with full name — not initials.
- An address and telephone number must be included but will not be published. One letter per person per month.
- Mail your letters to The Sun, Letters to the Editor, 23170 Harborview Road, Charlotte Harbor, FL 33980, or email them to letters@yoursun.com.
